Inspiration
Hackathon deadlines are always tight, and it's easy to lose time deciding what to work on next instead of actually working. I wanted something dead simple that tells me exactly what to do right now, ranked by urgency and how much time it actually takes.
What it does
SprintFlow is a priority task planner with a built-in focus timer. You add tasks with an estimated time and an urgency level, and it automatically ranks them — urgent, quick tasks bubble to the top so you're never stuck deciding what's next. Pick any task and hit start to launch a focus countdown for it. A live countdown to the deadline stays visible at all times.
How I built it
Built as a single self-contained HTML/CSS/JavaScript file — no frameworks, no backend. Task data and priority scores are computed client-side, and the task list persists in the browser via localStorage so it survives a refresh.
Challenges I ran into
Working solo under a same-day deadline meant scoping down aggressively — picking one clear, finishable feature set instead of trying to build everything.
What I learned
How to design a simple, effective prioritization algorithm from scratch, and how much a tight time constraint forces good scoping decisions.
What's next for SprintFlow
Adding categories/tags for tasks, a daily summary view, and syncing across devices.
