Sprinkle Machine

Inspiration

We wanted a machine that could make sprinkles at home.

What it does

This machine pipes a line of sprinkle material (icing) and then chops it into smaller pieces.

How we built it

We built it with a gear rack to move the piping bag and a bar to wind the piping bag around, all controlled by an arduino uno.

Challenges we ran into

We experienced a lot of difficulties with the gear rack system, but were able to overcome this by making the rack move and the gear fixed.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of our device working and successfully and consistently piping a line.

What we learned

We learned a lot about the mechanics of linear motion.

What's next for Sprinkle Machine

We would like to finalize the cutting tool and add more degrees of motion.
