Inspiration

The inspiration behind this is non availability of good students in the remote areas of India. With the initiatives like Digital India, internet has reached in every nook and corner of India but not the good teachers.

What it does

A video and augmented reality mobile application that enhances the learning experience of the students. It enables them to scan any topic or diagram on the NCERT book and go to the relevant video or augmented functioning of the diagram. It also connects students with offline tutors for on demand topic wise tutoring or problem solving.

How I built it

We used Azure's computer vision API to detect text from images and map videos to it.

Challenges I ran into

The challenge was to store enormous amount of data of NCERT books and map to the videos, since the data is ever growing and scalability is the challenge.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I am proud of the fact that we were able to help the students who wants to study but not having proper resources for it.

What I learned

I learned the various cognitive facilities that are provided by Azure.

What's next for spring_rest

Augmented reality for diagrams and a platform for scrutinization of content.
