Inspiration

Spring isn’t always joyful—many people experience mood shifts, anxiety, or fatigue during this season. We wanted to create a supportive tool for those dealing with Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) in springtime.

What it does

Spring is an AI-powered mental health companion that helps users track their mood, receive gentle habit suggestions, and access spring-specific emotional support through daily check-ins and a friendly chatbot.

How we built it

We combined a GPT-based chatbot with a custom mood tracking system and a daily habit generator. We mainly used bolt but tweaked the flaws.

Challenges we ran into

Creating emotionally intelligent AI responses without overstepping therapeutic boundaries. Designing a mood tracker that’s easy to use, yet insightful. Balancing minimalism with feature richness.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

A soothing, functional user experience designed with empathy. Customizable check-ins that adapt to user mood. Building a product that meets a real emotional need during an under-discussed season.

What we learned

Simplicity is key. Personalization increases user trust and engagement. Spring SAD is more common than we thought—there’s real demand for seasonal mental health support.

What's next for Spring

Improving chatbot memory for more context-aware conversations.
