Inspiration

Spray & Pray was developed when we, as a team, realized that we like to sleep in. To solve this, we concluded that we needed a more compelling way to force us to obey our alarm clocks.

What it does

Spray & Pray is a device that, when you refuse to wake up, will spray you with fart spray (or other fluids) until you comply and wake up.

How we built it

Using ESP, stepper, HTML, C++

Challenges we ran into

A lot of our electronics burnt out during development and we ultimately had to pivot to a secondary alarm design we had come up with. This is the first hackathon 3 of us have ever attended, and we had to learn many new technologies and concepts, such as web development and hardware design.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Achieved a minimum viable product and we made new friends.

What we learned

During the hackathon, we learned Figma and various engineering/design skills that were used to create our product.

What's next for Spray 'n' Pray

Alarm Clock Co. intends to expand its lineup with more feature packed alarm solutions such as a zapper alarm and a state of the art peltier powered alarm solution with user wearable heat band to maximize the chances of you waking up on time.
