The purpose was to try building a simple, fun game feature into Yo. We therefore created SpotYo, a social, local, mobile game of catch for the app.
You start by subscribing Yo channel ASPOT, then wait for other users to login. After more users subscribe, "The Yo Guy" is chosen and the game is on.
The game uses geo location of users to send them push notifications about the Yo holder - The Yo Guy. The aim is for the Yo Hunters to find The Yo Guy and pass Yo on. Along the way, The Yo Guy is notified about distance of Hunters and either manages to escape or loses.
