Our inspiration was Instagram which uses the content that people post. We created a platform where people can take pictures of favorite places, refer them to friends and get crypto coins! Also, I used the idea of Stepn which was built on the Solana blockchain. It is a Move to Earn project and our project is a Refer to Earn project, that has a similar structure.

SpotShot is a Web3 referral app with SocialFi and GamiFi elements that allow users to be fairly rewarded in crypto. SpotShot purpose is to create a community that helps each other to earn rewards by recommending favorite local products and services.

We built the SpotShot using the Rust and Shot token on the Solana Blockchain. We built the design and prototype using the Sketch and InVision apps. We also used Wix to create our website.

The biggest challenge was to build the team and find the developer for the project. Few of the team members joined the project and didn't do anything or were very skeptical of the idea.

We are proud that we were able to build a functional app. Also, we are proud that we learned up-and-coming blockchain technology which was rewarding and will allow us to make better career decisions and investments as the blockchain industry grows.

We learned how to develop on top of the Solana Blockchain, QR code generation, and new graphic design skills.

The next for SpotShot is to build a community on Twitter and Instagram and continue creating the user flows.
