Inspiration
It’s clear that both weather and music play a huge role in our mood. As a result, we wanted to tackle how we can connect people more with the weather through music.
What it does
Creates a Spotify playlist based on a keyword search of semantically related words to the weather forecast description.
How we built it
We built most of our script in python. Then we coded the frontend of the website using HTML, CSS, JS and attempted to use flask for backend development.
Challenges we ran into
A lot.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of our use of APIs and somewhat being able to get the Spotify authentication to work.
What we learned
We learned how to code in python and include APIs for our usage.
What's next for Spotify Weather Playlist Generator
Connecting our script to our website so that we can run our python script through the website for users to generate playlists.
