What is Moodify

Moodify is a free AI powered playlist generator service. Our text classification model selects the songs according to the desired labels selected by the user.

How it works

Frontend and Backend: React and Express with Realway to host the server and use Netlify to host frontend.

What challenges did we face

Some of the biggest challenges we ran into were setting up a server to host our text classification model, establishing a pipeline between the servers, and processing the data pulled by the APIs.

What are we proud of

We pride ourselves in being able to set up an ai model for our service, thing which we never had done before. We also did a good job at organizing tasks and setting up plans and goals to be on the same page.

What did we learn

We learned how to set up our pipeline for the connection between our servers and the different services required for processing the data. We also learned how to divide the tasks in a way that we could all help each other and also participate actively on the challenge.

What will the future of Moodify be like

We plan to keep on working in Moodify to take it to the next level. First we need to find a more adequate architecture to host our servers. Then we will work on making it more efficient before we expand its services.
