Inspiration

  • Our office HR team facing difficulty to book a ground for the cricket match.
  • A colleague of ours has concerns for his teenage kid who stays at home playing Pubg and is anti-social, he said "..only if there was a platform for exploring physical games too!!"
  • We have no idea how much the membership costs for the horse riding club just in front of our office.

What it does

Mobile App for User

  • Let's you book a slot, buy a membership, and book a whole spot for your team at any complex nearby where you can play, exercise, or have fun.
  • Earn points for bookings, achievements, and wins.
  • Create Teams and challenge other teams. Management System for Sports Complex
  • Create and manage sports complex and slots
  • Manages bookings in the vicinity of the sports.

How we built it

  • Well it's a 3-day hackathon, we built it with RedBulls and Nescafe Coffee.

Challenges we ran into

  • Identifying the features which would address the right audience
  • Developing use cases that could be implemented throughout.
  • We knew from the start we are not going to complete the whole project in time because of its scale, it was a decision should we restrict our idea to a hackathon or develop something for the greater good.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Identifying the problem that has been right under our nose for so long.
  • Developing a somewhat okay solution in the given time, much more could have been done!!! But justifying the solution to the problem was important to us.

What we learned

  • We learned how we are leading our next generation, what standards are we putting in place and we recognized some dire course corrections that need to be implied in due time.

What's next for Spot Game - Team Tornado

The destination has been set for a thousand milestones ahead. Tech

  • Complete MVP with thorough market research
  • MVP must include the ability to integrate FitBit watches and retrieving achievements through it to earn points.
  • Develop a feature to share achievements to Feed.
  • We are also looking forward to enabling a secure environment for underage children too by integrating the feature of live video from the booked spot to the guardian but that's something for the full version. Deployment Strategies
  • Finalize the Revenue model with the consultation. We are thinking of a commission-based model.
  • Use blogs and social media posts along with surveys and polls about the niche to gain attraction towards the brand before the launch.
  • Network with the key players of the market to understand the weather before we test the water.
