I played football from the 2nd grade through college. My college weight room coach would draw up a graph on the whiteboard at the beginning of every season, explaining details of microcycles and mesocycles. During an exit interview with my coaches, they would take five minutes to dig through their desktop to the right spreadsheet with my information on it and show me a row of data. My thought, why not make this information easier to manage, share, and vizualize? Furthermore, if we collect historical athletic development data from a wide variety of teams, we will be able to predict which programs will achieve the best results and help out the teams and athletes in dire need of better results. Boom!
