Lack of engagement of people in sports (Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages)

Overall idea description

Sports(Gather) is an intelligent sports social media that aims to connect people to play and engage in the sports activity of their preference. No matter where you go, you can always see the people engage in sports you like and plan a game together. Sports(Gather) also keep you aware of what's happening across the sports world with the latest news. You can browse from several sports shops nearby to get your desired equipment and learn new sports by joining groups and considering the videos provided in the application. Additionally, you can stream the matches live on the platform. Sports(Gather) is your sports social network that helps you to stay connected with sports, make friends, and, most importantly, stay fit and healthy always.

Submission meets the 3 judging criteria:

1.Creativity and innovation- Sports(Gather) will be the first of its kind as, until now, no particular social media platforms have been dedicated to sports. Sports(Gather) connect for a cause to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all ages. We are proposing to use technology to bridge the gap between sports and people. The social media feature of Sports(Gather) will itself be creative as through this, you will not just communicate, but you will be able to learn and stay fit and healthy for sure.

2.Impact on the identified challenge and UN Sustainable Development Goals- Sports(Gather) impact the Inclusion and Community category of the challenge as it upholds and promotes community involvement in sports activities. On the other hand, it aims to engage everyone of any ability, gender, age, race, or socio-economic background. While in a broader perspective, Sports(Gather) focuses on United Nations Third Goal, which is Good Health and Well-being, by getting people the opportunity to play sports and stay fit always.

3.Impact on the identified challenge and UN Sustainable Development Goals- Talking with the real-life implementation view, Sports(Gather) will be ready to launch within the initial six months of incubation. A precise timeline is given below:

Stage 1(Research and Ideation)- Done (12th Oct 2022)

Stage 2(Prototyping)- Initiated (Deadline: 15th Nov 2022)

Stage 3(First Prototype)- 15th Jan 2023

Stage 4(Beta Testing)- 15th Feb 2023

Stage 5(Improvisation)- 15th March 2023

Stage 6(Improvisation)- 6th April 2023(International Day of Sport )
