😎Inspiration😎

While brainstorming, we found that it is hard for people to find an all-in-one sports platform. They have to search through various different platforms to find tickets to games, find areas to play, etc. Moreover, many people want to find partners/teams to play with as some sports, like tennis, cannot be played solo, but this is very difficult(especially after the pandemic). This inspired to create Sportify, a sports web platform where users have everything they need(sports-related, of course!) within a click away. Our motive is to improve physical health and help socialize using sports and outdoors.

😊What it does😊

This website has numerous features such as:

Find cheap tickets for sporting events(as well as purchase fan merch)
Find nearby areas to play sports such as parks, fields, community tennis court, etc.
Find like-minded people to play sports with(as partner or team)
Allows user to create account

Twilio for confirmation emails and messages

😥Challenges we ran into😥

We had some numerous challenges we had to overcome

Using Google Maps API was a bit hard for the first time as none of our teammates actually used it
Using Twilio was difficult as we had to program it to send emails as well as SMS

🥰What we Learned🥰

We learned that time management was super important as one of our teammate had school work which was coinciding with the hackathon
We also learned to prioritize which was necessary such as using Google Map API so just incase something went wrong, we could fix it immediately
Finally, we learned to help each other with the website, give suggestions to make it better and more.
Overall, we made a good decision of teaming up together.
