Inspiration
Devin has been working on apps using the ESPN API with MMA for about a year.
What it does
Uses ESPN API endpoints for Team and Athlete information, mapping identifiers to their statistics and results, with Play-by-Play coverage of live games (including today's SuperBowl)
How we built it
Loveable for prototype and data management (SQL,Vector, Scraping) FireCawl for web Scraping. Halthora for LLM, STT, and TTS. Modal for embeddings for PDFs and scraped data. X for trending topics.
Challenges we ran into
X changed their API access 2 days ago, with higher premiums. We ran out of lovable credits. Poor Wifi. Teams are a little large, we have two separate demos, which is good, but we could have split up a bit. It's hard coordinate that many people.

The cloud is expensive.
What's next for Sport Blast
We would to add other APIs for other times of real-time live event, even political. We can use transcript data in real tim to supplement our marketing.
