We were really passionate about chess, thought it would be fun to make in vr.
What it does
You have the option of playing “against” the man the myth the legends Tuh Tuh Tuh Tuh Sahur.
How we built it
We used a state of the art xr unity platform to develop the most sophisticated vr chess game you’ve never experienced.
Challenges we ran into
Yea, version control wiped our project a little bit, but pressure makes diamonds.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Getting Tung Tung Tung Tung Sahur into our game took a lot of creativity and problem solving. Another accomplishment we're proud of is the intense atmosphere of our game. It truly makes you feel terrified as you terrifiedly pick up those terrifying pieces.
What we learned
Version control is the worst thing that has ever happened to development. It may be because we just clicked random buttons to get it to stop saying "merge conflict" but it still was not fun to use.
What's next for Spooky Italian Chess
We've already received substantial funding for our next game, Spooky Italian Chess 2, which we are excited to announce will have a multiplayer feature someday.
