Inspiration

We wanted to create an immersive, spooky adventure game that could run seamlessly on both web and mobile platforms. The idea was inspired by classic haunted house games and the desire to blend audio, visuals, and interactive missions for a unique experience.

What it does

Spookey Web lets players explore haunted environments, solve puzzles, and complete missions. It features atmospheric sound effects, dynamic visuals, and responsive controls, making the gameplay engaging and eerie.

How we built it

We used Flutter for cross-platform development, leveraging its powerful UI toolkit and plugins for audio and animation. The project was structured to support both web and mobile deployment, with modular code for easy expansion.

Challenges we ran into

Integrating audio effects across platforms, optimizing performance for web, and designing responsive layouts were some of the main challenges. Ensuring smooth gameplay and consistent user experience required careful testing and iteration.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully built a playable demo that works on multiple platforms, implemented custom sound effects, and created a visually appealing haunted environment. The project showcases our ability to deliver a cross-platform game experience.

What we learned

We learned about Flutter’s strengths and limitations for game development, best practices for cross-platform UI design, and techniques for managing assets and state in a game context.

What's next for Spookey Web

We plan to add more missions, expand the haunted environments, introduce multiplayer features, and refine the audio-visual experience. Community feedback will guide future updates.
