Pitch

Connects local businesses with amateur athletes that need funding/sponsorship for their sport. Business can sign up and set up an amount/equipment they are willing to provide to a team. Atheletes can view and send an application to a business that the business can then approve or decline.

Using Ruby on Rails and Bootstrap for styling

Most challenging parts

Creating admins and nested forms. Modelling out the business logic was complex since my team wanted only the businesses to have access to the admin functionality but still provide access to athletes to manage their respective sports profiles.

Notable highlights

Completed a month before self-imposed deadline. Managed multiple tasks while dealing with unexpected technical difficulties.

What I learned

Deeper learning on Rails framework. More familiarity with CSS Bootstrap library. First team project and managing of expectations from everyone involved in the project.
