Inspiration
We saw a Spongebob meme and we wanted to make it easier to make them.
What it does
It creates spongebob memes with bottom text made from stitched together Spongebob title card text.
How we built it
We used python to download and crop (using Azure's OCR) and stitch together pictures in the format that we found.
Challenges we ran into
We had to figure out how to search for images off the titlecards and crop out just the words that we wanted. To do this, we had to download all 400 Spongebob titlecards and search through them and map words to their respective titlecards in a csv, which we used to find words.

What we learned
We learned how to use Azure OCR to find and crop text, as well as stitch together images.
What's next for Spongebob Meme Generator
In the future we'll try to make it applicable to other meme formats and take images from other shows or media.
