Inspiration

I always save online resources but never get back to them, and I noticed this is most likely a common frustration. I realized that I'm not saving them just because I want to read. It's because I want to apply what I've learned through them, and it makes me think that others may feel the same as well. I just never have the time or mental energy to extract and apply the key insights. So I thought of this idea to streamline that effort gap!

What it does

This turns any added or saved content (newsletters, articles, notes) into actionable insights according to the indie founder, entrepreneur, or business-focused creator's goals. Instead of just summarizing, it helps them apply what they learn by generating execution steps, rating their relevance, and saving them into a strategic playbook. It's like Notion combined with a AI-powered strategic operator. The full scope would be importing the user's content (from Notion, Trello, and other platforms they use to save resources) to reduce friction and improve convenience, and integrating OpenAI's API for accuracy on generated insights.

How I built it

Back and forth prompt optimizing with chatGPT and Claude, then executing everything into Bolt step by step. I also use Bolt with Discussion mode to optimize the prompting.

Challenges I ran into

Bolt was not able to generate a User Profile Management section; Not sure what happened, but I had to skip this step.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Submitting this project! I had to overcome a lot of self-doubt and perfectionism, but I'm proud that I can execute something of this nature.

What I learned

Better prompting knowledge and skills, what to cut out, and focusing on the core functionalities for an MVP.

What's next for Sponge.ai

I may want to expand on this concept and validate its demand with potential ICPs. Either way, I'd like to showcase the progress and learnings I've made along the way.
