Inspiration:
-Challenge on how to connect sponsors and companies to entrepreneurs and small businesses.
What it does:
-Offers a streamlined service in which prospective sponsors and companies can access entrepreneur, projects and idea profiles. In a similar manner to tinder, sponsors can swipe left or right to signify their interest in specific projects, upon which they will be able to connect directly to the project composer.
Challenges we ran into:
-Learning and integrating multiple languages and unfamiliarity with said programming languages. In the beginning, brain-storming!
Accomplishments that we're proud of:
-We are very proud of the logo and its color scheme. We also feel that the main idea of the project has real world application today, and we are proud of the collaboration and problem solving that we as a new team were able to accomplish.
What we learned:
- we used new technologies we have never used before such as flask.
- we got to get a very good insight in the process of website development.
- we learned to cohesively collaborate as a new team, outlining a social issue and engaging in real world problem solving.
What's next for SponEntre:
-We plan on continuing to develop this project and produce a viable working website over the course of the next 6 months or so. We propose to also continue working on learning the various languages we have come into contact with in order to improve our design.
Build process
-The project was built on Python and flask. As package manager we used node,js. We used sqlite3 for our database. for our front end of our website, we used html5, css3, and Js with Jquery and bootstrap.
