Inspiration

Helping my mother through her divorce process helped me see how difficult it is both emotionally and financially. I built Split Support to help her and many others who are going through divorce and need support along the way.

What it does

Split Support (https://splitsupport.ai/) is an AI-powered product that helps individuals navigating divorce understand the legal process, estimate financial outcomes, and access emotional and practical support all in one place. It’s like having a compassionate, knowledgeable friend to guide you through one of life’s hardest transitions. There are 4 main offerings:

Your Divorced Friend

AI chat companion who can help guide you through the divorce process, provide advice and offer emotional support.

Cost Calculator

Divorce can get expensive quick. Use the cost calculator to get an estimate of the potential costs based on your specific scenario.

Alimony Calculator

Planning for your future is difficult without knowing how much alimony you’ll have to pay or receive. Use the calculator to get an estimate.

Additional Resources

There are so many intricacies to divorce that it can be hard to find the resource for your situation. The resource guide helps.

How we built it

100% built using bolt. Leverages OpenAI API for chatbot experience. Supabase for user management and chat conversation and message storage. Netlify to publish.

Challenges we ran into

Lots of tweaks here and there to get the website to work. The brunt of the work was around the chat experience. Storing conversations against User IDs and making sure that there wasn't memory leakage took a few attempts to get right.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The website is now live and we've started to get organic visitors!

What's next for Split Support

We're going to making a marketing push to drive traffic and get more users. Eventually could monetize by advertising local law firms, through affiliate marketing.

Eventually could turn the product into a Legal Tech SaaS for law firms to help them:

• Source and qualify leads, improve client education and intake
• Reduce churn with ongoing between-meeting support
• Improve time-to-close cases, take on more cases annually
