Inspiration

The inspiration behind this app was Splitwise, the desktop browser app is not as good as the mobile, so I decided to do it. One thing about this project, there is no better summer feeling than traveling with your friends, and it helps you to manage everything so you can just enjoy your time with no worries.

What it does

Split N Share's main goal is to simplify the way you manage expenses. This web app allows you to create groups, add friends, and update whenever a new expense is made. Everything was projected so you can effortlessly have all the information about your financial control, and keep connected with the important ones.

How we built it

It was built with MERN stack, JavaScript and Tailwind.

Challenges we ran into

As I had only one and a half week to do the whole thing, the biggest challange was to create the database properly with all the features it needed to have.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The logic behind it worked really well, all the authorizations and data calls ended up coordenated.

What we learned

The main lesson that I took from it was to plan the project really well before starting, all the time I took thinking about how to start and the steps I needed to make were valid.

What's next for Split N Share

I'm planning the next version of Split N Share: the improvement of the logic and adding more features, do a better UX for desktop and mobile.
