Splace

I was inspired after taking a moment and analyzing an issue in my room. I saw that I had piles of unecessary papers, paper bags, tissues, and cards. I released how wasteful I was living and how overlooked paper consumption was.

Splace is a webapp that provides users an E-journal. It allows users to let their worries out while making eco friendly choices. The journal is customizable and in the future have a login system for security purposes. Unlike paper journals, Splace is a safe space where people will not intrude your thoughts and you are aiding in slowing down mass paper consumption.

I built this web app with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DOM and Figma.

I was alone so time was honestly the first challenge. I was also relatively new to JavaScript so I had to get used to the syntax and debug my own code.

I'm very glad that almost everything works and how sleak the website looks. It was definetly challenging coming up with a modern design since I was by myself.

I learned more about JavaScript, how to implement DOMs, and the importance of reducing paper consumption.

I hope in the future that Splace will have a login function, provide more information regardind deforestation, and more options for personal customizations.
