Inspiration

I was inspired by the art fairs that happen all over the world. I'm also inspired by animation in broadcast television.

What it does

This application displays to art series. I uses animation to rotate walls that show off the lifesize, or larger than life artworks. By tapping the center wall piece, and rotating new artwork into view, the viewer does not have to do much walking to view several works of art. By tapping the buttons that appear within the animating fire, the current paintings on the walls fly off, and another set of painting fly in. Additionionally the art name can be tapped to go to the art social media page.

How we built it

I modeled the 3d elements in blender. The text elements were made in photoshop. This application also features orignal painting artwork by myself. All animations were built in Aero. Royalty Free audio and video used for background.

Challenges we ran into

Animations to hide buttons after they are pushed gave an opportunity for errors. It was best to set the hide duration to zero seconds. I also had to learn how the actions had to be sequenced so that the artwork return to there original location while being changed out. The lighting for Adobe Aero application is unknown, so that made it harder to customize the look exactly how I would like.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The wall was able to swap out the artworks smoothly. I was able to get all the trigger animations to work. All animations were done in Adobe Aero. I think I really brought the fire emoji to life. The fire is a cool visual and makes the viewing more fun.

What we learned

Animation can make for a fun viewing experience for traditionally still art presentations. The canvas, frame and walls animations can be apart of the entertainment and the functionality of a gallery or museums in the futures
