💡 Inspiration
We’re both a little chaotic, a little emotional, and a little too online.
Late-night convos made us wonder — what if you could confess anything anonymously and get a reply that matches your vibe?
SpillGPT was born to turn emotional messes into AI-powered moments. Whether you want comfort, judgment, or some Desi-style scolding, we’ve got you.
⚙ What It Does
SpillGPT is an anonymous confession platform powered by GoogleGemini.
Users submit a confession and select one of four “mood modes”:
- 🧘 Therapist (gentle, calming)
- 🔥 Roast Me (savage but true)
- 👵 Desi Dadi (cultural, emotional, wholesome)
- 🎭 Overdramatic Bestie (chaotic friend energy)
GPT responds in the selected tone. Bonus: we added meme/GIF reactions to boost the feels.
🛠 How We Built It
- Built frontend using React.js and TailwindCSS
- Integrated OpenAI GPT-4 API with custom prompt logic per mood
- (Optional) Used Supabase to store anonymous “Top Spills”
- (Optional) Used Giphy API for mood-based meme replies
- Deployed via Vercel
- UI mockups designed in Figma
🧠 Challenges We Ran Into
- Getting GPT-4 to stay in character across all moods
- Balancing chaos and clarity — especially with modes like DadiGPT and Drama Queen
- Making the UI clean, while keeping the emotional tone intact
- Making sure responses are fun and feel human
🚀 Accomplishments We’re Proud Of
- Got all 4 personality modes working
- Had so much fun testing it with our own chaotic confessions
- Actually helped us feel seen by our own app 🥹
- Designed an app that blends humor, culture, and raw human emotion
📚 What We Learned

- React + GPT + memes = Gen Z gold
- Emotional tech doesn’t need to be boring — it can be funny, weird, and healing
- A small idea + good vibes = big impact
