Spiderweb enables iOS devices to communicate directly by text or voice using bluetooth and the wireless adapter. There is no need to be connected to a wireless access point or have cellular service. The main use case for this application is during emergency response. If cellular towers are offline Spiderweb will allow peer-to-peer communication for devices within 30 meters of each other.
Application still in development.
Devices can connect and text. The application will crash during talk communication. Needs to be fixed along with functionality for automatic playback on receipt.
Didn't quite get to where we wanted, but hope someone picks up where we left behind :)
Two projects were used to develop Spiderweb: Understanding Multipeer Connectivity Framework in iOS 7 by Gabriel Theodoropoulos and Sound Recorder by Will Chilcutt.
