Inspiration

A lot of inspiration comes from our parents. These are hard working people that weren't able to use modern day financial luxuries to advance themselves and their businesses. We're reimagining a new financial system using Web3 that can be used by anyone regardless of their geographic location, socioeconomic status, or computer literacy skills. SphereOne is on a mission to abstract the blockchain and make cross chain payments seamless. Our technology will be essential in onboarding the next billion users to Web3.

Challenges we ran into

  • More Polygon PoS bridge documentation and examples would have been helpful in determining best practices
  • Polygon faucets need to provide more tokens for a better testing experience
  • There isn't a standard yet for two-factor authentication at the smart contract layer

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Our mobile application on iOS/Android now support cross chain payments with Polygon support
  • We expanded our web support for our 1-click checkout for cross chain payments using the Polygon network
  • The SphereOne self custodial wallet network now supports Polygon RPC endpoints

What we learned

  • We learned more about the Polygon PoS Bridge
  • We have a better appreciation for how quick and cost-effective the Polygon network is after thoroughly testing our latest build

What's next for SphereOne: Fastest Crypto Bridge in the Galaxy

  • Expand to other popular L1/L2s
  • Two factor authentication at the smart contract level
  • Ability for Web3 games on Polygon to validate NFT ownership across chains
  • Enable push notifications to wallets enrolled in the SphereOne cross chain wallet network
