Inspiration

The Philly Bail Fund seems like they're doing great things for the community so I wanted to make a project around that.

What it does

My project is a simulation that shows how arrests effect others in a person's sphere of influence

How I built it

I built my app with node.js and express then deployed it on Heroku

Challenges I ran into

My biggest struggle was figuring out how to get the data into my application

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I did not think I could do this in 1 day

What I learned

I learned how to scale down my ideas and come up with a project that is doable in one day. I wasn't sure if I would be able to do this. Most of my side projects take me weeks or months to complete.

What's next for Sphere of Incarceration

I hope this can be a great tool to show people how incarceration effects more than just 1 person
