Inspiration

Simplicity, personalisation, sustainability and a culinary excellence are among the aspects that we were considering while developing this project. Giving our customers the chance to customise their plans, to meet their needs and preferences all while offering a seamless user experience.

To achieve this, we built a robust, innovative and data-driven app to generate tailored recipe recommendations that most meet the customer taste und dietary preferences.

How we built it

Using Dynamic Filter Minimisation, filters are dynamically updated as the customer provides more information about their desires, making sure to get as much data as possible with the least possible amount of questions and clicks.

Smart Chat and Voice Assistant

In addition to the form, using the latest technologies, the app integrates an intelligent assistant, with which the user can interact through text or vocally. The Smart Assistant replies in text and voice. We want to make sure to give our customer with limited mobility and/or special needs the seamless culinary experience they deserve. A made-to-order plan is generated and provided to the customer, that fits the user’s input, from number of meals to allergens.

What we learned

Humans are complex. Customers have very varying needs, likes as well as restrictions. Developing the right innovative algorithms and using the latest technologies is exciting but also challenging.

Collaborate with Hello Fresh to further innovate in fine-tuning the filtering and recipe generation process to tackle additional preferences, allergens and other likes and needs the customers might have
