Inspiration
We were inspired by GoFundMe and Kickstart and how through donations people can achieve their goal and become happy. We thought that making medical donations more accessible would be a nice idea, because this idea can possibly save lives.
What it does
Speranza uses app design to allow donors a chance to donate to pre-verified causes. Before being put on the app the patients will go through a verification process and confirm that hey actually have the medical condition they're declaring.
How we built it
We built this program using Unity and C#.
Challenges we ran into
It was a challenge connecting front end and back end in the program. Simply speaking we had an issue connecting the code with the UI displayed on the screen.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud that in such a short period of time we were able to generate an idea which has potential success of becoming a real thing.
What we learned
We learned how C# is similar in some ways yet very different from C when writing scripts for the project.
What's next for Speranza - Donation App
Speranza’s next big developmental steps would include interacting with a banking service, creating an algorithm which would display patients by their ranking, and be able to categorize patients into groups. An example would be to put all patients with cancer in a group together, and if a donor would like to donate their money to someone with cancer they would be able to do so quickly.
