Inspiration

As college students, it is very easy to spend what little money we have recklessly. Often times, these purchases are regretted, and do more harm than good. 

What it does

It prompts users to enter expenses and rate how they feel about their expense. After a week, Spentiments sends a notification to the user to reflect on their purchase and whether they feel the same way. Spentiments pulls data from their responses and helps the user cultivate a more positive spending mindset.

How we built it

Flutter and Dart.

Challenges we ran into

It was hard to integrate backend and connect the form responses to the graphs. We also struggled with the Graphs API.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

 Built a good amount of pages in a short time.

What we learned

 Learned a new tech stack and that APIs hard carry applications.

What's next for Spentiments

 A more detailed sentiment analysis and integrate AI to offer advice to users about spending habits.
