The Problem

There are a lot of different tools and ways to manage your financial operations at a paradigm level. Start-up and small business owners often rely on using spreadsheets and multiple tools that are not connected, which means delayed insights and making poor choices. We created FinovaX to simplify the management of financial operations using an intuitive, centralized, and AI-driven platform.

What it does

FinovaX is a SaaS/FI platform designed to help users track their spending, budgeting, cash flow analysis & actionable insights in real-time. It allows for categorizing and tracking transactions, smart alerts for budgeting and some visually engaging dashboards to provide clear and concise information regarding the user's financial condition.

How we built it

FinovaX is a full-stack application using React for the front end, Node/Express for the backend and MongoDB for data storage. We utilized JWT authentication to provide secure access as well as Charts.js for engaging and dynamic data presentation. We built an insight-generating custom engine designed to identify spending habits and generate alerts.

What we're learning & what are our accomplishments

We developed an operational SaaS MVP with a secure choice of technology, architecture & integrated real-time analytics while continuing to improve our skills in regards to back-end architecture & design, authentication protocols and data visualization.

What's next

We plan to integrate AI-based forecasting, Payment Gateway support, multiple user roles, and cloud deployment.
