Inspiration

As digital purchases becomes more mainstream making physical money less tangible, it's hard for kids to visualize their money and spending habits. In pursuit of teaching younger kids how to finance with their own money and games, Spendy is here to help!

What it does

Kids will have a Spendy card that can be spend on their favorite games. They will need to tap their card to authenticate their purchase for Robux or Valorant Points. Parents can overview their children purchase history and reload the Spendy card.

How we built it

We used React, Tailwind, and Expo to build this ios app.

Challenges we ran into

Setup for a NFC tech was a struggle that took longer than we expected. Polishing a clean UI and have a good user experience was a strong intention when creating the app.
