Inspiration
The college essay is hard, and we all know it. It's been the painful reality of this summer, and getting thoughts down seems to be impossible. Because we understand this, we wanted to make it easier for the people that come next by creating a game that helps practice drafting.
What it does
You're given sets of prompts and time limits to write them out. There are different game modes that bring variation into this general idea.
How we built it
API back end and a normal web application front end
Challenges we ran into
Initially, we planned on making the app multiplayer, but we ran out of time.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
A good addition we made was the SAT vocabulary game mode, which helped make our app more relevant to the college process.
What we learned
We learned a lot. None of us had much experience coding, especially on the back end.
