Inspiration

Our motivation for creating this app is to redefine the fitness app experience. We believe in the potential for physical activity not only to enhance health but also to reward users for their hard work financially. We view this as an innovative approach to personal growth, where each stride represents a step toward a healthier and wealthier lifestyle. This hackathon provides us with the opportunity to embark on a journey that breaks fitness boundaries and extends to financial rewards.

What it does

PayoutPacer transforms daily steps into real money. Users can track their progress, conquer challenges, and earn financial rewards. The app features a financial dashboard and stats for a holistic fitness and wealth journey. Users can also connect with a supportive community for motivation. Also there is a restriction zones where to start and end challenged because we want great running experience for our users. Users can create challenges and join other poeple challenges too. The idea of the financing is there are fox example 20 poeple in the competition. Every one of them gives 5$ and the poeple who can't complete the challenge lose their five bucks. Lets say their count is 10. So the other people recieve the money divided the people who completed the challenge so 100 / 10 = 10$ (5$ profit of the challenge).

How we built it

We built the mobile app using well-established technologies such as React Native, Geolib, Google Maps, and Expo. For the server, we utilized NestJs with Prisma ORM. The PostgresSql database and the server are hosted on fly.io. The advertisement website is built in React and NextJs and hosted on Azure. The design was created using Figma and Adobe.

Challenges we ran into

The main challenge we faced was finding something that sets us apart or improves upon existing offerings in the market. Other challenges were related to the development of the app, including deployment issues and integrating components.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Our primary accomplishment is the effective communication and understanding between team members. Additionally, we are proud of the focus and effort we put into building the product. We believe that this hackathon improved our flow state.

What we learned

Participating in this hackathon helped us enhance our coding and development skills. Another key takeaway is the importance of communication, especially in a fast-paced competition where effective communication is crucial.

What's next for Spectra

The next steps for Spectra include participating in one of the biggest hackathons in Bulgaria (HackAUBG). We also believe in a bright future for our team and are committed to putting in the hard work to continue improving ourselves.
