Every hardware project I've worked on - I spent more time hunting for parts than designing. A simple query returns hundreds of near-matches, half without datasheets, and comparing candidates means juggling browser tabs. Engineers shouldn't lose their best design hours to this. Spector flips that ratio.

Spector is a unified part-search platform for mechanical engineers. Describe what you need in plain English, optionally upload a BOM or set constraints, and Spector aggregates data across suppliers to return ranked candidates — with match scores, decision-relevant specs, and a plain-English rationale for each match. A side-by-side view then highlights the tradeoffs automatically. What used to take an afternoon takes two minutes.
