I came across reports about “ghost networks,” where insurance companies list mental health providers who are essentially unreachable. A 2023 U.S. Senate investigation found that over 80% of listed providers were ghosts. That stuck with me, because in a mental health crisis, people don’t have time to call 20 numbers that go nowhere. I wanted to build something that makes this visible immediately.
