Inspiration: We were inspired by the current features of the Apple AR and wanted to expand these features to the Spectacles AR, particularly daily use features. For example, weather, to-do lists, music players, maps, and fitness.

What it does: The spectacles display a user interface with features such as reminders, weather, and music to help users with their day-to-day lives in AR.

How we built it: We utilized Snapchat's latest technology, spectacles, and javascript to implement API keys along with this used typescript with displaying UI features.

Challenges we ran into: We ran into learning a new language and implementing new technology to accomplish our project. Along with this, the API keys would not always display. There were also hidden parts of the code that we could not access that affected the UI. It was challenge to become adjusted to the lens studio software.

Accomplishments that we're proud of: We were able to properly work together to complete the project while some of us were busy with our daily lives. Keeping each other in the loop and giving feedback to each other allowed us to optimize our project idea.

What we learned: We learned about typescript and its features, along with finding proper ways to create a user interface with the new spectacles. We also found ways to successfully have a fallback plan for the API if it fails, such as printing the latest weather. We also learned our way around lens studio.

What's next for Spectacles mainframe? To expand on our project, we would like to use the Canvas API, as it gives direct access to student homework rather than using Google as a third party for reminders. Along with this, we would like to have a strong connection for the API because the wifi has limited features. We would also like to implement a map/GPS, and fitness.
