Inspiration

Many people struggle with confidence in speaking because they lack consistent practice and feedback. We wanted to create a safe space where users can practice speaking daily and build confidence over time.

What it does

SpeakUp Studio allows users to speak freely, record their speeches, track progress, and maintain daily streaks. It motivates consistent practice and helps users improve communication skills.

How we built it

We built SpeakUp Studio using a user-friendly frontend, a backend to handle audio recordings and user data, and a database to track progress and streaks. The focus was on simplicity and smooth user experience.

Challenges we ran into

Handling audio recording, storage, and playback was challenging. Maintaining accurate streak logic and ensuring a smooth user flow also required careful design.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully built a working platform that encourages daily speaking practice. Implementing streak tracking and a clean recording experience was a major achievement.

What we learned

We learned about audio handling, user engagement through gamification, and designing features that encourage habit-building and consistency.

What's next for SpeakUp Studio

We plan to add AI-based feedback, speech analysis, community challenges, and personalized improvement insights to help users grow faster.
