Inspiration

We developed SpeakToAnyone because of the cultural diversity in the community of Immokalee and language barriers. Many lanuages are spoken and many people only speak one.

What it does

SpeakToAnyone translates many different languages to English and back through speaking or writing. The languages it translates are German, Spanish, Italian, and French.

How we built it

We used MIT App Inventor and the power of teamwork.

Challenges we ran into

We had problems coding multiple different languages at once to translate to English. Also, we tried to add Haitian creole but it didn't work properly even though the Yandex Translator in app inventor stated it would work.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of creating a fully functional app using MIT App Inventor. We are proud that our app was selected to represent our school for the Lenovo app challenge.

What we learned

We learned the importance of being able to communicate with others and being patient. We learn how to deesing and code using MIT App Inventor.

What's next for SpeakToAnyone

The next step is to get our app published and add a Haitian creole option because it is the third most used language in our community .
