Project Inspiration

The inspiration for SpeakSavvy came from the need to enhance public speaking skills and provide constructive feedback to individuals preparing for presentations. Recognizing that many struggle with anxiety and clarity during public speaking, we aimed to create a tool that offers personalized insights and encouragement.

What It Does

SpeakSavvy is an AI-driven feedback bot that analyzes audio recordings of presentations. Users can record or upload their speeches, and the bot provides detailed feedback on various aspects, such as clarity, engagement, filler words, and overall effectiveness. This helps users improve their delivery and confidence.

How We Built It

We built SpeakSavvy using a combination of technologies: Frontend: React for a dynamic user interface, allowing users to easily record or upload audio. Backend: Flask to handle API requests and process audio files. AI Integration: Mistral LLM to analyze speech and provide personalized feedback

Challenges We Ran Into

Audio Processing: Ensuring accurate transcription and analysis of varying audio qualities. User Experience: Designing an intuitive interface that guides users through recording and uploading processes. AI Feedback Accuracy: Fine-tuning the AI algorithms to provide relevant and actionable feedback.

Accomplishments We're Proud Of

Successfully implementing a functional prototype that provides real-time feedback. Receiving positive user feedback on the clarity and usefulness of the insights provided. Creating a tool that empowers users to improve their public speaking skills effectively.

What We Learned
