Inspiration

dating apps can simply feel a bit impersonal and judgy, since you have to decide a person's value simply by looking at a couple pictures and sentences about them. we aim to change that and make it more personal.

What it does

an app that makes dating much more interactive and immersive by providing virtual personas on profiles to talk to.

How we built it

supabase, sveltekit, 11labs conversational ai, fal.ai for image analysis

Challenges we ran into

setting up authentication and analyzing images in the signup flow. we ended up not using the authentication in the demo! we also ran into a bug with the eleven labs javascript sdk, and many of the errors we received were way too vague and nondescript.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

getting the pipeline to work for a full conversational onboarding process as well as creating a virtual persona based on that flow.

What we learned

this was not easy to make! but focusing on the core journey and ux instead of trying to implement some of the more typical extra features of dating apps.

What's next for speakeasy

fully fleshing out more traditional features like chats and more complete profiles.
