Inspiration

Life is more online than ever. Business, school, and life is occurring in video chat. We want a video chat that is more user friendly, and enhances communication for those who have communication challenges.

What it does.

Live video chat, with a feature that allows the host to have what they are saying transcribed into text near-realtime. We have group chat, and will have a feature that allows private messaging

How I built it

Node.js, electron, vue, featherJS

Time, API limit with the google web speech API

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We have a project that works to a certain point; but not to the potential we want it at.

What I learned

We had lots of fun, and learned a lot about text to speech, and websockets

What's next for SpeakEasy

We will complete the features we intended to have, and polish up the end product.

I worked on the web design of the application such as the creation of the logo to represent our idea in an aesthetically-pleasing manner. Since I thought of the idea originally, I wanted to create the perfect image that users will see when accessing the web application. Similarly, the purpose of this application is to help all individuals of society in education and outside of classrooms as well!

I worked on the web design part of the project. As the color of the font, the font on the name of the project, and the color of the web, trying to match them so it will be visible for the audience and it will call their attention as well, Not only that but I edit the code and help on the brainstorming ideas. Creating an environment of peace and a relaxing atmosphere for every user who will log in. This project was designed to help not only students but people in general, we dedicated our time to think of society in all the aspects for example when the internet connection fails. However, our first thought went to people like students who had a medical illness. Afterward, I can say that I enjoyed being with my teammates looking forwards to learn together.
