Inspiration
As a first year college student, I noticed how many of us struggle with presentations. I saw smart classmates lose points because they sounded nervous. I felt that fear too. I wanted something that could guide us before the real moment.
What it does
SpeakConfident AI lets users upload or record their presentation then the AI listens and reviews audio and video metrics. The results appear in a simple and engaging dashboard. The feedback is clear, honest, and easy to follow.
How we built it
The backbone is Gemini, huge thanks to it.
Challenges we ran into
One major challenge is rendering the 3d objects. I do not have much experience with 3d environments so I had to learn it from scratch. From there on, everything went smoothly.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The entire project because I can see a lot of people using it, especially those people who can but get anxious all the time. All they need is the right preparation that this app can give and they can have the confidence back at it again.
What we learned
New learning for me for this project is react-three and 3d environment. Although I have not yet fully grasp it, I learned how to set it up, download models, lighting etc.
