Inspiration

Learning a new language is a very difficult situation, and we thought about how we could make it easier, and the idea for such a lens came up.

What it does

First we need to choose a language. After choosing, the flag of the country whose language is most spoken appears on your face and 6 categories appear. After making a choice in these, we try to know the sentence written in that language. If we complete the category, a badge is earned.

How we built it

We used lens studio and also used and retrieve datas from iTranslate API for language translation.

Challenges we ran into

We had a challenge for choosing a font. In addition, I can say that we had difficulty in adjusting the texts not to look different on some phones and languages, since they have different lengths in each language.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

There is no lens ever made with this in mind on snapchat

What we learned

We learned many languges and flags of many countries.

What's next for Speak Up

We will add trivia and ml component for learning language.
