Inspiration
Blockchain data is inherently complex and highly interconnected, yet today it is primarily analyzed through flat dashboards and tables. Investigators, analysts, and researchers often struggle to trace large fund movements or identify suspicious clusters using traditional 2D tools.
At the same time, mixed reality and spatial computing offer a new paradigm for understanding dense data systems.
We asked: what if blockchain flows could be explored the way they actually behave — as living networks in space?
Spatial Ledger was created to bring immersive clarity to on-chain intelligence using Logitech MX Ink and Meta Quest.
What it does
Spatial Ledger is a mixed-reality blockchain forensics and visualization platform that enables users to explore wallet activity and transaction flows in immersive 3D.
Using the MX Ink stylus, users can:
- Draw connections between wallet nodes
- Expand transactions with pressure-sensitive input
- Isolate suspicious clusters in space
- Navigate large fund flows intuitively
- Inspect metadata in contextual panels
Instead of scanning spreadsheets or flat graphs, analysts can physically explore blockchain activity around them.
How we built it
Spatial Ledger is designed as a spatial data intelligence system optimized for Meta Quest mixed reality and the Logitech MX Ink stylus.
The architecture includes:
- 3D graph rendering engine for wallet networks
- MX Ink precision interaction layer
- Pressure-based node expansion
- Spatial clustering and filtering system
- Cloud data ingestion pipeline for on-chain data
We focused on making interactions feel investigative and tactile rather than dashboard-driven.
Challenges we ran into
Key challenges included:
- Representing large blockchain graphs without overwhelming the user
- Designing meaningful stylus interactions beyond simple selection
- Maintaining visual clarity in dense transaction networks
- Balancing analytical depth with real-time performance
- Ensuring the experience feels like spatial investigation, not just 3D charts
These constraints shaped the interaction-first design of Spatial Ledger.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of:
- Creating a truly spatial approach to blockchain intelligence
- Designing pressure-sensitive interactions that highlight MX Ink precision
- Making complex fund flows visually intuitive
- Building a clear investigative workflow in mixed reality
- Positioning the tool for real analyst and security use cases
Spatial Ledger demonstrates how MR can transform high-density data analysis.
What we learned
Through this project we learned:
- Complex network data benefits significantly from spatial representation
- Stylus precision enables powerful investigative workflows
- Mixed reality can reduce cognitive load in graph-heavy analysis
- Interaction design is critical for large-scale data visualization
- There is strong potential for MR in security and analytics domains
These learnings will guide future development.
