** Inspiration**
Project Name: Campus Connect
Inspiration Our team was inspired by the challenges students face when trying to find on-campus services. Whether it's needing a quick tech fix or finding a hairstylist for an upcoming event, students often struggle to connect with the right service providers within their campus community. We wanted to create a platform that simplifies this process and fosters a sense of community among students.
What We Learned Throughout this hackathon experience, we learned valuable lessons about collaboration, problem-solving, and technical implementation. Specifically, we gained insights into frontend development by overcoming challenges in integrating CSS and HTML effectively. Additionally, we learned the importance of choosing the right database solution for our project and how to adapt and pivot when faced with technical obstacles.
How We Built Our Project We utilized a combination of frontend and backend technologies to build our platform. For the frontend, we worked with HTML, CSS, and javascript to create a visually appealing and user-friendly interface. Implementing CSS proved to be a challenge, but through perseverance and collaboration, we were able to overcome it.
On the backend, we integrated Firebase as our database solution. Initially, we encountered difficulties setting up our database with previous methods, but we quickly pivoted to Firebase, a simpler application for hosting our data. For the backend logic.
Challenges Faced One of the main challenges we faced was integrating our CSS and HTML to work seamlessly together. This required careful debugging and collaboration among team members with frontend expertise.

Accomplishments Despite the challenges, we are proud to have created a user-friendly platform that enhances the campus community's connectivity. Our platform not only facilitates the connection between students and service providers but also fosters a sense of belonging within the campus community.
Additionally, we are proud of our team's ability to collaborate effectively and overcome technical hurdles during the intense 24-hour hackathon. Our dedication to creating a visually pleasing and functional platform paid off, and we are excited to see the impact Campus Connect will have on campus life.
Whats Next User Feedback and Iteration: We understand the importance of gathering user feedback to improve the platform further. We plan to conduct user testing sessions and collect feedback from students and service providers on their experience with Spartan Connect. This feedback will be invaluable in identifying areas for improvement and iterating on the platform's features and usability.
Expanding Services and Partnerships: While we've started with a few service categories such as hairstylists, nail stylists, chefs, and tech help, we aim to expand the range of services offered on Spartan Connect. We'll reach out to more service providers within the campus community and explore potential partnerships to enhance the variety and accessibility of services available to students.
Enhanced Features and Functionality: We have a roadmap of features we'd like to implement to enhance the overall functionality of Spartan Connect. This includes features such as real-time messaging between students and service providers, scheduling appointments, and implementing a rating/review system for service providers. We'll prioritize these features based on user feedback and the needs of the campus community.
