Inspiration
We wanted to improve the spartan experience in dining halls. Students should have a platform where they can review what they like and don't and others can use this data to make eating on campus judgements.
We also want to empower the dining halls administration with data. We have built a dashboard where they can see the ratings and reviews by students. Using sentiment analysis techniques, we are giving the management an overall sentiment of students for the dining hall experience.
What it does
It calculates the average ratings given by the students for each dish and dining option and let's other students see these reviews. It also helps the management to view the ratings and reviews in their custom dashboard and make better management decisions.
How we built it
We built it using python, made a transformer based sentiment analysis model for the reviews, we used MongoDB for database management, streamlit for the user interface
