Inspiration

Sparky Tap was inspired by Web3 tokenomics—specifically the dynamics of token supply and demand. It is a community experiment to engage the Algorand community in a collective burn effort.

What it does

Each tap on the Sparky flame queues tokens to be burned. Every 60 minutes, the burn is executed, permanently removing tokens from the 1 trillion total supply by sending them to the Algorand burn wallet. Players can upgrade their flame rate, buy auto-clickers, and spin a wheel for burn multipliers (up to 5x). The game also includes achievements, leaderboards with prizes, and a burn history page.

How we built it

We used Bolt to rapidly prototype, build the core functionality and design the UI. Final refinements, such as complex game formulas, were added manually. Technologies used include Supabase DB, a Python backend, GitHub, and Web3 integrations.

Challenges we ran into

Bolt was powerful but required very specific prompts to avoid unintended code changes. especially as the game logic grows in complexity. Syncing local game state with the DB was also tricky—ensuring data wasn't overwritten or the API overloaded took careful handling.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Built a polished game using a full tech stack: Web3, Supabase, backend scripts, and a clean UI. We’re proud of Sparky coin’s design and excited to share the project with the Algorand community.

What we learned

Learned new tools like Supabase, auto deployment, and discovered how effective Bolt can be in accelerating a project when used thoughtfully.

What's next for Sparky Tap: Web3 Clicker Game

The game is live and ready for the community. We are focusing on promotion within the Algorand "Algofam," maintaining the game, and releasing occasional updates.
