Inspiration

Many students and young learners struggle to understand long, complex scientific articles. Spark Zone was built to make knowledge simple, clear, and enjoyable to explore.

What it does

Spark Zone is a Chrome extension powered by Gemini AI. It summarizes and simplifies online content, translates it instantly, and reads it aloud with voice output — all in one click.

How we built it

Developed with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and integrated with the Gemini AI API for text processing and summarization. We also added a built-in voice reading feature for accessibility.

Challenges we ran into

Integrating AI processing and voice synthesis inside Chrome, managing large text, and keeping translations accurate and natural.

Delivering a working Chrome extension that reads, summarizes, and translates content in real time — helping students understand better and learn faster.
